Where to drink in Washington DC and surrounding areas

We’ll never agree about D.C.’s best bars, but we ranked them anyway - by Fritz Hahn

Fritz Hahn, the Washington Post Beer/Bar Columnist, is probably the individual best positioned to give the highly subjective take on the top 10 bars in Washington DC. The result is a collection bars no one should be surprised to see - the #1 bar is the Columbia Room, with it's renown prix-fixe three- or five-course cocktail tasting menus, to Jack Rose for Whisky/Bourbon/Scotch, to the Sovereign for Belgian Beers - but an extremely valuable exercise that is a worthwhile list for all those looking for a great bar in Washington DC. The list is definitely worth consideration for your Washington DC visit!
